Chiuso il Tour of the Alps, la corsa a tappe che unisce Trentino, Alto Adige e Tirolo, è tempo di pensare a nuove sfide.
Già domani si va a Genova per il Giro dell’Appennino, gara di lunga tradizione che vede il team MBH Bank CSB Telecom Fort impegnato nella ricerca di un risultato importante. Si corre su un percorso di 196 chilometri, con 2.898 metri di dislivello. Una seconda formazione è invece già atterrata ad Instanbul e domani prenderà parte alla prima tappa Çeşme – Aydın del Tour of Turkey per arrivare, dopo 8 giorni ad Ankara.
AGGIORNAMENTO: Cambiano alcuni elementi inizialmente previsti a causa di una serie di infortuni. In particolare il Tour of the Alps ha visto la caduta di Lorenzo Nespoli e Alessandro Verre. Per Nespoli sono richiesti alcuni giorni di riposo, mentre Verre domani mattina sarà regolarmente al via da Novi Ligure. Con lui anche Marton Dina, il campione ungherese uscito molto bene dalla corsa dell’Euregio che lo ha visto più volte in fuga.
Da segnalare che la formazione del team, manager Antonio Bevilacqua, Gabor Deak, la famiglia D’Aprile e Zoltan Bebto, è ora seconda nella Coppa Italia delle Regioni con 203 punti, alle spalle della Bardiani CSF 7Saber attualmente al comando con 253.
“Siamo usciti con qualche acciacco dal Tour 2026 — le parole di Gianluca Valoti — ma abbiamo avuto avversari di livello che stanno preparando il Giro d’Italia. Ora ci aspettano importanti impegni alla nostra portata e quindi puntiamo a essere protagonisti”.
Qualche cambiamento anche per i ragazzi che prendono parte al Tour of Turkey, con Alessandro Fancellu inserito nella formazione. Per lui ci sono ambizioni di classifica viste le recenti buone prove al Tour of Hainan. Smaltito il fuso orario e assimilate le fatiche, è ora di riprendere a competere.
26 APRILE:
Il 26 aprile doppio impegno: da un lato il prestigioso Giro dell’Appennino, con Ambrosini, Bracalente, Chesini, Dina, Masciarelli e Verre, diretti da Gianluca Valoti.
TOUR OF TURKEY. Affascinante e impegnativo il Presidential Tour of Turkey, in programma dal 26 aprile al 3 maggio.

THE TEAM IS 2ND IN THE COPPA ITALIA
(Marton Dina in action during Tour of the Alps. Photo Sprint Cycling)With the Tour of the Alps finished — the stage race linking Trentino, South Tyrol and Tyrol — it’s time to look ahead to new challenges.
Already tomorrow the team will head to Genoa for the Giro dell’Appennino, a long‑standing race in which MBH Bank | CSB Telecom Fort will be seeking an important result. The course is 196 kilometres with 2,898 metres of elevation gain. A second squad has already landed in Istanbul and will tomorrow take part in Stage 1 Çeşme – Aydın of the Tour of Turkey, finishing after 8 days in Ankara.
UPDATE: Some originally planned riders have changed due to a series of injuries. In particular the Tour of the Alps saw crashes involving Lorenzo Nespoli and Alessandro Verre. Nespoli needs a few days of rest, while Verre will be at the start tomorrow morning in Novi Ligure. With him will be Márton Dina, the Hungarian champion who came out of the Euregio race very well and was often in the break.
Notably, the team — manager Antonio Bevilacqua, Gábor Deák, the D’Aprile family and Zoltan Bebto — is now second in the Coppa Italia delle Regioni with 203 points, behind Bardiani CSF 7Saber who currently lead with 253.
“We came out of the 2026 Tour with a few knocks,” said Gianluca Valoti, “but we faced high‑level opponents who are preparing for the Giro d’Italia. Now we have important goals within our reach, so we aim to be protagonists.”
There are also some changes for the riders taking part in the Tour of Turkey, with Alessandro Fancellu added to the lineup. Given his recent strong performances at the Tour of Hainan, he has ambitions for the overall classification. With the time difference digested and the fatigue absorbed, it’s time to get back to competing.
26 APRIL: On 26 April there is a double commitment: on one side the prestigious Giro dell’Appennino, with Ambrosini, Bracalente, Chesini, Dina, Masciarelli and Verre, directed by Gianluca Valoti.
