La prova alla NXT Classic conferma il valore del Team MBH Bank CSB Telecom Fort: una squadra compatta e protagonista per tutta la giornata, che però torna a casa con il rammarico di non aver trasformato in podio quanto seminato sul percorso. Alla fine è un 10° posto di prestigio.
Sul selettivo circuito del Limburgo olandese — lungo 196,3 km, ricco di salite e condizionato dal vento — la formazione italo‑ungherese, guidata in gara da Davide Martinelli e Beppe Dileo ha lavorato con impegno tattico dall’inizio alla fine. La squadra ha animato la corsa: fra le azioni di giornata spicca il generoso tentativo di fuga di Samuele Zoccarato, mentre il ritorno all’attività agonistica di Cesare Chesini è stato positivo, con il corridore presente nel gruppetto immediatamente alle spalle dei fuggitivi.
Fra gli uomini di punta, Marcin Budziński ha nuovamente dimostrato affidabilità e condizione: 10° assoluto,sempre nella fase calda della corsa e pronto a rispondere alle evoluzioni tattiche. Il piazzamento, però, lascia un gusto amaro: la squadra aveva messo le premesse per giocarsi un risultato di vertice, ma nel finale i dettagli hanno fatto la differenza.
DICHIARAZIONI — Marcin Budziński «Mi aspettavo una corsa molto nervosa, e così è stata. Dall’inizio abbiamo provato a entrare nella fuga e Samuel è riuscito a farlo. Nel gruppo abbiamo lottato per la posizione su ogni salita. Intorno ai 100 km è iniziata davvero la gara, con molti attacchi e ritmo elevato. Ho cercato di restare davanti con l’aiuto dei miei compagni, cosa che sono riuscito a fare. A circa 40 km dalla fine un piccolo gruppo di una ventina di corridori è rimasto davanti, attaccando di continuo sulle salite. Io mi sentivo bene, purtroppo non sono riuscito a riprendere i due di testa, anche se ci sono stato vicino. Da quel momento ho guardato alla volata. L’ultimo chilometro è stato imprevedibile: tutti erano stanchi e volevano stare davanti nell’ultima curva. Purtroppo non ho avuto la migliore posizione lì e ho chiuso 10°. Speravo in un risultato leggermente migliore, ma sono comunque soddisfatto della prestazione. Grazie a tutto il team per la grande giornata di oggi.»
Il rammarico di Budziński è anche il segnale di quanto la squadra avesse costruito: il lavoro collettivo ha creato le condizioni per giocarsi il risultato, e la presenza di più corridori nelle posizioni utili testimonia la profondità della rosa. I piazzamenti stagionali di Marcin — fra cui il 2° in Classic Loire‑Atlantique e i due 2° in Coppa Sharjah (24 e 27 gennaio) — uniti ai buoni riscontri degli altri componenti del team confermano regolarità e crescita del progetto MBH Bank CSB Telecom Fort.
Per il manager Antonio Bevilacqua, Gabor Deák, la famiglia D’Aprile e Zoltan Bebtó resta la consapevolezza che la squadra è competitiva e in progresso: oggi il podio è sfuggito per dettagli tattici e per la sfortuna di una posizione sbagliata nel finale, ma lo spirito mostrato e la condizione collettiva sono incoraggianti. Con Budziński in forma e compagni pronti a farsi vedere, il team punterà a trasformare queste prestazioni in piazzamenti di vertice nei prossimi appuntamenti.

In the end it’s a prestigious 10th place.
On the selective circuit in Dutch Limburg — 196.3 km long, full of climbs and affected by wind — the Italo‑Hungarian formation, led in the race by Davide Martinelli and Beppe Dileo, worked with tactical commitment from start to finish. The team animated the race: among the day’s moves stood out Samuele Zoccarato’s generous breakaway attempt, while Cesare Chesini’s return to competition was positive, the rider being present in the group immediately behind the escapees.
Among the leading men, Marcin Budziński again showed reliability and form: 10th overall, always in the hot phases of the race and ready to respond to tactical moves. The placing, however, leaves a bitter taste: the team had set the stage to fight for a top result, but in the finale details made the difference.
QUOTES — Marcin Budziński: “I expected a very nervous race, and that’s what it was. From the start we tried to get in the break and Samuel managed to do it. In the group we fought for position on every climb. Around 100 km to go the race really started, with many attacks and a high pace. I tried to stay up front with the help of my teammates, which I managed to do. With about 40 km to go a small group of around twenty riders stayed ahead, attacking continuously on the climbs. I felt good, but unfortunately I couldn’t reel in the two leaders, even though I was close. From that moment I looked to the sprint. The final kilometer was unpredictable: everyone was tired and wanted to be in front for the last corner. Unfortunately I didn’t have the best position there and finished 10th. I hoped for a slightly better result, but I’m still satisfied with the performance. Thanks to the whole team for a great day.”
Budziński’s regret also signals how much the team had built: the collective work created the conditions to contest the result, and the presence of several riders in key positions testifies to the squad’s depth. Marcin’s season placings — including 2nd in the Classic Loire‑Atlantique and two 2nds in the Sharjah Cup (January 24 and 27) — together with good feedback from other team members confirm the consistency and growth of the MBH Bank CSB Telecom Fort project.
For manager Antonio Bevilacqua, Gabor Deák, the D’Aprile family and Zoltan Bebtó there remains the awareness that the team is competitive and progressing: today the podium slipped away due to tactical details and the misfortune of a bad position in the finale, but the spirit shown and the team’s collective condition are encouraging. With Budziński in form and teammates ready to show themselves, the team will aim to turn these performances into top placings at upcoming events.
