POZOBLANCO (SPA) – Nella frazione odierna, la quarta della Vuelta Andalucía Ruta del Sol, la Montoro – Pozoblanco (166 km), arriva un altro 7° posto con Nicolò Buratti e il team MBH Bank CSB Telecom Fort. La corsa ha visto però i nostri ragazzi protagonisti di attacchi importanti anche nel finale con Budzinski e, in precedenza, con Matteo Ambrosini.

Al termine dei 166 km, percorsi in 3h 50’02”, il successo di giornata è andato al belga Tom Crabbe, che si è imposto davanti al norvegese Søren Wærenskjold (Uno-X Mobility) e al francese Sandy Dujardin (TotalEnergies).

La media oraria della tappa è stata di 43,30 km/h.

Settimo Nicolò Buratti, che ha ripetuto lo stesso piazzamento di ieri a Lopera.

Nel complesso positivo il bilancio del collettivo: il Team MBH Bank CSB Telecom Fort è 4° nella classifica a squadre guidata da Movistar; Lorenzo Nespoli è 3° nella classifica giovani; Luca Cretti è 2° nella classifica dei Traguardi Volanti, mentre Nicolò Buratti è 6° nella classifica a punti. Alessandro Fancellu ha perso la top 10 nella generale, ma solo per una questione di piazzamenti, mantenendo un gap di 54” dal leader.

La giornata viene analizzata dal tecnico Davide Martinelli, in Spagna insieme a Orlando Maini:

“Siamo stati protagonisti in fuga con Luca Cretti. C’era il Km d’Oro – spiega Martinelli – che serve appunto a movimentare la corsa e pensavamo di poterlo aggiudicare. Poi la corsa si è messa in un altro modo e i grandi hanno chiuso”.

Spettacolo nel finale: “Matteo Ambrosini, a 8 km dall’arrivo, si è lanciato all’attacco con un altro corridore. Poi è toccato a Budzinski, insieme a Christophe Laporte e Tim Wellens, dai -6 km ai -2 km. Un’azione importante in cui abbiamo provato a essere protagonisti anche noi”.

Sul risultato finale: “Nicolò Buratti ha fatto bene, ma rispetto ai velocisti puri paga qualcosa. È stato comunque bravo, come tutti i ragazzi. Alessandro Fancellu è uscito dalla top 10, ma solo per una questione di piazzamenti, non di tempo. Domani è ancora tutto in ballo con una frazione molto difficile”.

POZOBLANCO (SPA) – In today’s fourth stage of the Vuelta a Andalucía Ruta del Sol, the Montoro – Pozoblanco (166 km), another 7th-place finish arrives for Nicolò Buratti and Team MBH Bank CSB Telecom Fort.

The team, however, was also active in key attacks during the finale, first with Matteo Ambrosini and later with Budzinski, underlining an aggressive and proactive race strategy.

After 166 km, completed in 3h 50’02”, the stage victory went to Belgian rider Tom Crabbe, who prevailed ahead of Norwegian Søren Wærenskjold (Uno-X Mobility) and Frenchman Sandy Dujardin (TotalEnergies).

The average speed of the stage was 43.30 km/h.

Seventh place for Nicolò Buratti, repeating the same result achieved yesterday in Lopera.

Team Overview

Overall, a positive balance for the collective:

  • Team MBH Bank CSB Telecom Fort is 4th in the team classification, led by Movistar.

  • Lorenzo Nespoli sits 3rd in the young riders’ classification.

“We were protagonists in the break with Luca Cretti. There was the Golden Kilometre,” explained Martinelli, “which is designed to animate the race, and we thought we could take advantage of it. Then the race developed differently and the big teams closed it down.”

Exciting action in the finale:
“Matteo Ambrosini, with 8 km to go, attacked together with another rider. Then it was Budzinski’s turn, alongside Christophe Laporte and Tim Wellens, from -6 km to -2 km. It was an important move and we tried to be among the protagonists there as well.”

On the final result:
“Nicolò Buratti performed well, but compared to the pure sprinters he gives something away. Still, he did a good job, as did all the riders. Alessandro Fancellu dropped out of the top 10, but only due to placings, not time gaps. Tomorrow everything is still open, with a very difficult stage ahead.”
